Frequently asked questions.

Answers to the things most people want to know before getting in touch.

Do I actually need a consultant, or can I set up HubSpot myself? +

You can. HubSpot is designed to be user-friendly. But there's a difference between switching it on and building it properly. Most businesses that try to do it themselves end up with a portal that reflects the platform's defaults, not their actual sales process. A consultant means your data model, pipelines, automations, and reporting are architected around how your team works from day one. It saves time, avoids rework, and means you're not paying for a system nobody trusts.

How is working with an independent consultant different from using an agency? +

You get me. Not a junior account manager, not a rotating team of executors. I design the system, build it, and stay involved throughout. There's no handoff between departments, no translation layer between what you said and what gets built. Independent also means I recommend what's right for your business, not what generates the most billable hours.

I already have HubSpot but my team barely uses it. Can you help? +

This is one of the most common situations I work with. Usually the problem isn't the team, it's the setup. If the CRM doesn't reflect how people actually work, they work around it. An audit identifies what's broken, what's missing, and what needs to change. Then we fix the critical issues, retrain the team on a system that makes sense, and build from there.

How much does it cost? +

It depends on the scope. A discovery session is a single conversation. An audit is typically 1 to 3 weeks. Implementation projects are scoped and fixed before we start. Every engagement has a defined scope, a clear outcome, and no surprises. The best way to get a realistic picture is to book a short call and talk through your situation.

Which HubSpot plan do I need? +

That's one of the things I help you figure out. The right plan depends on your team size, your sales process, what you need to automate, and where you want to be in 12 months. I'll give you an honest recommendation based on your business, not the tier that generates the highest commission. If Starter does the job, I'll tell you.

How long does a typical HubSpot implementation take? +

Modern tools mean we can build faster and more efficiently than ever. But the honest answer is that the speed of any engagement is largely dictated by the availability of your business. Getting leadership, managers, and team members together for focused, regular sessions takes time. I can move fast, but often the real question is how fast you can move while letting your team do their day jobs. Most implementations run between 4 and 12 weeks. Audits are typically 1 to 3 weeks.

Do you only work with businesses in Bristol? +

I have some local Bristol clients, but most of my work is with UK-based businesses and a handful of international ones. Where it's beneficial or requested, I travel nationally.

Can you integrate HubSpot with our existing tools? +

Yes. HubSpot connects to over 1,600 applications natively, and for anything more complex I build custom integrations. Common examples include ERP systems, accounting platforms like Xero or QuickBooks, email tools, project management software, and bespoke internal systems. The goal is always a single source of truth where data flows where it needs to without manual effort.

What happens after the project is finished? +

You own everything. Every engagement includes documentation, process guides, and training so your team can run the system independently. If you want ongoing support after that, I offer flexible retainer arrangements, but there's no dependency built in. The goal is always to leave you in a stronger position than when we started.

I'm not sure what I need. Where do I start? +

A short call. 15 to 20 minutes is usually enough to understand your situation and work out whether I can help, and if so, what the right first step would be. No pitch, no pressure. If it makes sense to work together, we'll talk about scope. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too.
